What:
Step up to the plate for Home Run! This baseball-inspired challenge gets teams hitting and scrambling to outscore their opponents. Teams take turns trying to hit a foam ball while opposing players try to retrieve it and “run” it back to their bases. It’s a test of teamwork, coordination, and friendly competitive spirit.
Why:
Home Run encourages strategic gameplay, communication, and a fast-paced thrill. There’s a role for everyone in this activity, whether as an excellent hitter or a speedy runner. It gets teams moving and rooting for each other, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
How:
Use a foam ball and bat for safety. Designate “bases” in a field, and have teams take turns batting and retrieving. Award points are based on distance hit and how many bases a runner can make before the ball is returned.
