Hopscotch is a classic children’s game where players hop through a pattern of squares drawn on the ground. The squares are numbered, and players toss a small object (like a stone) onto them in order. They then hop through the pattern, skipping the square with their marker, and pick it up on their way back. It’s a game that tests balance, coordination, and accuracy.
How?
Draw a hopscotch pattern on the ground using chalk on the pavement, or create a permanent one with paint or tape for indoor use. The pattern usually has 8-10 numbered squares. Give each player a marker (like a small stone or beanbag). Players take turns throwing their markers onto the squares in order. They hop through, following specific rules like hopping on one foot for single squares and two feet for double squares. If they complete the course without mistakes, they get to go again.
